Course objectives
The course gives students the basic knowledge of spatial aspects of economic processes, options and limits of their solution. From the point of view of efficiency criteria it provides a historical development overview of spatial organisation of a company and tools for its management in Europe. The course also deals with the approach to localisation of economic activities. It applies common methods of evaluating national economy and businesses to the level of regions. It also presents the principal methods explaining some regional aspects. Attention is paid to the issues of regional public administration. An integral part of the course are the problems of formation and realisation of regional and local policy.
