- Course objectives
- Economy of Educational Systems (PVEKSK) Students gain special knowledge of the field of education. The course builds on basic knowledge of the subjects Public Sector Economy or Economy of Non-profit Organisations, in which the topics were treated in a survey manner only. This subject partly continues some topics from Theory of the Public Sector. Problems of the educational system are explained in the social and economic context, great emphasis is placed on the principles of management and funding. Additional emphasis is given to important development trends as it is important to foresee the future of the CR within the European structures. Practical exercises are chiefly based on case studies, examples of international comparisons, and excursions to selected educational institutions, where students can face typical practical problems and learn possible ways of solving them. In such a manner they can consolidate the knowledge gained from lectures. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars.Examination: written and oral.
