- Course objectives
- The focus of the subject is on selected issues of public law forms of enterprise and selected issues of business law in relation to the studied specialization. The objective is the acquaintance with the theory of business law and its selected institutes, particularly business contractual relations and rulings of trade lawsuits; and bankruptcies and settlements. The experience from legal practice will be used in the analysis. The subject is divided into the following basic topic areas: Public law form of enterprise (principles of the legal form, trade enterprise, non-trade enterprise, obligations of entrepreneurs and consumer protection, legal form of public tendering). Economic competition law (the system, function and concept of economic competition, regulation tools in private and public law, law and economic theories of economic competition). Antimonopoly law (cartel agreements, mergers, abuse of monopoly or dominant position, Agency for the Protection of Economic Competition - its powers, sanctions, management). Business law ( system and functions of the Commercial Code, legal form of business entities, legal position of local and foreign entrepreneurs, commercial register, business contractual relations, individual types of contract, liabilities from the breach of law, commencement, change and termination of contractual liabilities). Court rulings in business cases, bankruptcy and settlement.
