- Course objectives
- The course has a specializing character. Its concept is based on the presumption that students have already acquired the knowledge of the subject matter in courses Theory of the Public Sector, Economics of the Public Sector and Economics of Non-profit Organizations.
Lectures focus on general topics related to culture and mass media.
The aim of the course is to present a given topic from the economic and legal point of view. The emphasis is put on broader problems as well. - Syllabus
- 1. Main information. General concepts. Main problem of culture economy. Discussion about subsidies. Criteria of efficiency. Specificity of culture economy - pricing, labour market, laws.
- 2. Care for historical heritage. Churches and religious societies.

- Assessment methods
- Examination requirements include elaborating a seminar paper of an applicational character (twice). The form of the examination is oral.
If students commit a prohibited act, such as using various forbidden tools, cribbing, taking out any part of the exam or any other cheating, the teacher is allowed to interrupt an exam and to grade a student with F, FF or FFF according to the seriousness of the offence. The mentioned procedure relates to all the activities that are included in the final evaluation of the course (seminar work, essays, tests etc.). - Language of instruction
