- Course objectives
- Generally beneficial activities of non-profit organizations cannot do without donors, sponsors and patrons - private persons, entrepreneurs and firms. The course Philanthropy addresses the foundations, principles, history and forms of philanthropic behaviour. Its aim is to equip managers and staff of non-profit organizations with knowledge necessary for understanding the reasons that lead private entities to donate something, and for being able to react to these incentives and find efficient ways of utilization and support of philanthropic activity. In this way, the course covers both theoretical (some psychological aspects, history) and practical topics (the present-day situation on the donor "market" in the Czech Republic, comparison of approaches in different countries, etc.).
