- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to obtain knowledge of the principles of international trade.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students should be able to understand the basic forms of international trade, explain concepts and basic skills of the International Trade and the global economic environment, learn about the most important institutions in this area, to explain issues of foreign trade, describe and analyze the territorial and commodity structure of international trade; assess and develop arguments for trends in international trade for each territories / commodity.

- Selected theoretical background of IT - political-trade regime, precautions
- Selected theoretical background of IT - international agreements of political-trade nature
- Basic approacheas of international trade - Hecksher-Ohlin model etc.
- Main exporters’versus importers position in IT; states; regions
- IT technics - Business methods, price, insurance, payments and risk management
- Foreign trade of the Czech Republic since 1992 up to day

- Teaching methods
- Lectures with a presentation of examples and real situations, case studies.
- Assessment methods
- Student has to work out one POT (work amended by tutor) in the semester. Presentation of POT is obligatory and it is a necessary condition to approach the exam. Exam will proceed within actual examination period. With respect to the scope of the course, the student has to choose one of the topics as a POT setting, present it and hand it in. Any copying, keeping a record of tests or carrying the tests out, using forbidden aids including any communication devices or any other breach of objectivity of the exam is regarded as a failure to meet the obligations of the subject and as a serious breach of study regulations. As a consequence, the teacher grades the student with "F" and the dean is allowed to initiate a disciplinary action, which might lead to the termination of the studies.
