Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students, who can speak Ukrainian / Russian language to the specifics of economic sciences in and to equip them with necessary knowledge and ability to independently study economic disciplines
Learning outcomes
-understand the basic principles and models of microeconomic analysis;
-know the basics of theory of consumer behavior;
-get acquainted with the basic principles of state regional policy;
-know the role of state in the economy;
-understand the essence of management and marketing

  • Topic 2. Theory of consumer behavior: principles and mechanisms of decision making (Alla Kachur)

Teaching methods
The course is taught in the form of lectures and seminars. The lectures are devoted to the theoretical knowledge covering the objectives of the subject. Class discussions are held during the seminars
Assessment methods
Small online tests, final test, bonus points for active participation, case-study, written task. Final test is 40% of the overall rating. 18% of the final grade comes from small online tests, 24% - written task by each topic and 18% of points is possible to get based on active participation in seminars and discussions. Point limit for getting the credit is 60%.
