- Course objectives
- Applied Statistics II (KVASII) The mission of the course is to apply knowledge of mathematics, statistics and related sciences to concrete mathematical-statistical models. The first part of the course deals with the basic models of financial mathematics. Students acquire skills in the area of simple and compound reckoning of interest, savings and pensions. Models are applied to practical examples. The second, key part of the course, develops the knowledge concerning a quantitative description of public sector. Knowledge of indicators, indices and possibilities of comparison are developed here. Students at seminars are taught to solve the given types of tasks independently. The knowledge gained in the course is also practised in the spreadsheet environment. Examination: written and oral.
