Course objectives
History of Money (DEPZ) Belonging to the core subjects for the students of finance, this course is designed for those who are interested in developing their knowledge in this area. The subject concentrates on the entire development of money ranging from the pre-monetary forms through the monetary period to the post-monetary period. Its purpose is to clarify not only the origin, but also the development of monetary and calculation systems, type of currency and currency relations in a broader context of European and world development with a special emphasis on Czech historical countries. In addition, it reviews the development of monetary economy, origins and development of monetary institutions and financial administration in different socio-economic formations. Examination: oral.
