Course objectives
Introduction to Social Policy (KVZASP) The course develops in students the competence to orientate with qualification in topical social and public problems which may arise, to analyse them and seek the economically, politically and socially appropriate tools to solve them. The course is essential for bachelor programme students who can acquire a complementary view of social problems in this society, springing up in the times of economic and social transformation. The course provides a diagnosis of present-day social problems, such as unemployment, poverty, bureaucratisation of life, dependent demographic minorities, family problems, social pathology, problems of ethnic minorities. Exam requirements: seminar essay. Examination: test of basic knowledge, oral exam.

  • 1. Ekonomika sociálního rozvoje, pojetí ekonomické a sociální funkce státu 2. Sociální stát 3. Sociální problémy v moderní společnosti 4. Sociální problémy: chudoba, dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost, sociální rozvrtvení, kriminalita mládeže, problém stárnutí, krize rodiny a problém rozvodovosti 5. Základy sociální politiky, sociální správa
