- Cíle předmětu
- The course offers a general overview of knowledge from different areas of quality management ranging from the historical development of ideas on quality perception, through selected themes of quality management in companies concerning pre- manufacturing, manufacturing and post-manufacturing (or production) stages as well as services, quality management systems, the fundamentals of commodity expertise to the area of consumer protection in the world and in the Czech Republic together with some legislation. After completing the course, students should be able to orientate themselves in micro- as well as macroeconomic or organizational aspects and mutual relationships of quality management in manufacturing, trading and service companies and in non-profit organizations.

- Syllabus: 1. Product as the subject of exchange and quality management. 2. Quality management – historical development 3. Quality management and process management 4. Economic context of process management in quality management 5. Sector systems and approaches in quality management 6. ISO 9000:2000 as the quality management system 7. Methods and techniques used in quality management 8. Methods and models in service quality management 9. TQM and Model EFQM, MBQA and Balanced Scorecard. 10. Institutional framework of quality management in the world and in the Czech Republic. 11. Legislation and quality of products. 12. Consumer protection in the EU and the world. Consumer protection in the Czech Republic.
