The special seminar C course extends the knowledge acquired in previous studies of Financial Accounting, Taxes and Financial management.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to prepare students for state exams specialization of financial management, accounting and taxes. After comletion of the course, students collate, to widen and deepen the knowledge gained in this area previous studies. They will be able to explain basic methods and practices of financial management, accounting and taxes contained in the lines prescribed for final exam.
Syllabus
  • 1.The financial management. The nature and principles of financial management, objectives, structure of financial management
  • 2.Property and financial structure of the company. Factors affecting the ownership and financial structure, context, asset and financial structure, financial structure optimization
  • 3.Interest rate as an instrument of capital allocation. Interest rate and its effect on the financial structure, the time value of money
  • 4.Short-term financial management. Financial management of current assets, liquidity management, net working capital, short-term funding
  • 5.Investment decisions and evaluating the effectiveness of investments. Investment strategies, types of investment projects, cash flows from investments, investment appraisal methods, influence of interests, taxes and inflation on investment decisions
  • 6.Internal sources of corporate financing. Characteristics and classification of financial resources, and gain factors for its growth, creation of reserve funds, depreciation in the role of internal financing, the calculation method of accounting and tax depreciation, evaluation of internal sources of funding
  • 7.Dividends and dividend policy of the company. The essence of dividend policy, types of dividends and dividend policy, factors influencing dividend policy, dividend taxation, accounting for entitlement to the dividends
  • 8.External sources of corporate financing. Characteristics and classification of financial resources, stocks, the bond as an external source of financing, long-term and medium-term loans, the appreciation of external funding (from the perspective of the company)
  • 9.Alternative sources of corporate financing. Project Financing (in substance and meaning), lease financing (types of leases, the importance of leasing in corporate financial management), factoring, forfaiting, venture capital, the advantages and disadvantages of each resource (in terms of business)
  • 10.Basic methodological apparatus of financial analysis (financial ratios circles, horizontal and vertical analysis, pyramid system of DuPont)
  • 11.Prediction of financial distress. Class and bankruptcy models, concepts and explanatory power (Q-test, Z-function, Tamari model).
  • 12.Management of financial performance. EVA - Economic Value Added and its application, factors affecting business performance, the Balanced Scorecard as a concept, performance management, the use of benchmarking in performance management
  • 13.Business budgets and their control techniques. Budgets and financial plans. Budget myths and methods of budgeting (incremental, ZBB, stroke, PPB, Kaizen, and contingency approaches WCM).
  • 14.Financial management of foreign exchange business. Exchange rate and exchange rate risk. Foreign exchange market and exchange rate risk management tools
  • 15.Conceptional framework of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • 16.Fixed tangible and intangible assets - reporting under Czech accounting legislation in relation to IFRS
  • 17.Classification of inventory accounting procedures of method A and B evaluated at picking stocks of the same kind of special cases at the end of the reporting period. Inventory reserves and accounting adjustments to inventory. Stocks IFRS
  • 18.Short-term financial assets and short-term bank loans - reporting under Czech accounting legislation in relation to IFRS
  • 19.Equity and liabilities according to Czech accounting standards and IFRS. Recognition of stock and bond issues.
  • 20.Establishing, formation, dissolution and termination of companies, changes in capital - the financial perspective
  • 21.Ivestments into the company (cash, assets, individual files, the accounting for the depositor and the transferee)
  • 22.Acquisitions of the capital and assets (means of acquisitions and accounting practices in terms of canvassing and the seller)
  • 23.Mergers(types of mergers, legal practices, accounting methods).
  • 24.Organization and techniques of accounting - accounting records and ledgers, structure and content of financial statements in accordance with Czech legislation in relation to IFRS, the use of information technology in accounting treatment
  • 25.Consolidated Financial Statements (Group consolidation, consolidation, definition of the consolidated financial statements)
  • 26.Relationship between managerial and financial accounting (financial, economic concept of costs, the cost breakdown in management accounting, management overheads)
  • 27.Calculation of costs. Methods and techniques, their context, the advantages and disadvantages. The concept of dynamic calculations
  • 28.Performance-oriented accounting (registration cost method, a general model of performance-oriented cost accounting)
  • 29.Audit, objectives, rules, auditing standards, code of ethics and regulations CACR
  • 30.Preliminary planning procedures for the audit (business activity and client control environment, accounting system, risk assessment, procurement, planning level of significance)
  • 31.Process of audit (reliability, veracity, sampling, assessment of the financial statements)
  • 32.Specification of accounting of financial institutions and insurance companies, differences from other businesses, the financial statements of financial institutions and insurance companies and their audit
  • 33.Tax system in the CR - the types of taxes and their definitions, law, community law, tax administration, registration and reporting obligations to the individual business taxes agreement for the avoidance of double taxation
  • 34.Income tax - the subject of tax, exemptions, tax base, tax and non tax expenditure management, tax records, tax rates, tax collection, tax returns, accounting about taxes
  • 35.Taxation of wages and salaries, the determination of taxable wages, deductions for health insurance and social insurance, the determination of net earnings and accounting obligations, annual settlement advances on income tax
  • 36.Corporation income tax - the subject of tax, exemptions, how to determine the tax base from accounting profit, tax and non-tax expenditures, tax rates, tax collection, tax returns and its influence on the economic results of business
  • 37.Property taxes (road tax, real estate tax, inheritance, gift and transfer of property tax) - the subject of tax, exemptions, tax base, tax rates, tax collection, tax returns, their influence on the economic results of business
  • 38.VAT - the subject of taxes, taxable transactions, reverse charge, tax base, tax rates, tax documents, tax returns and a summary report, accounting for VAT and its impact on the economic results of business
  • 39.VAT - tax exempt, deductible claims, reduction and treatment of deductions, special schemes, accounting
  • 40.Consumption and environmental taxes - the subject of taxes, tax rates, tax exemptions, technology, tax returns, accounting for such taxes and their impact on economic results of busińess
