- Course objectives
- The course deals with development of innovations and innovative enterprise. Nowadays the main competitive advatages are launching new products and increasing quality and user value of older products, services and processes. Measures for support of innovations are usually realized on the regional level (např. Science parks, business incubators, clusters).
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- define fundamental terms of the field of innovations;
- discuss the importance of innovations for regional development;
- analyze tools for support of innovations;
- judge the innovation performance;
- propose apropriate way of intellectual property rights. - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- Lessons take form of lectures (every week) and seminars (every week). Continuous self-study is expected. Students create and present a seminar project.
- Assessment methods
- The written exam consists of two parts: open questions and a multiple choice test. 30 points can be usually obtained in total; to pass the exam the student needs 21 points (70 %). Semester requirements: obligatory attendance at seminars, create and present the seminar project, participate in 1 written test with 10 questions – at least 6 correct answers (60 %) are necessary to pass.
