- Course objectives
- Business consultancy is a dynamically developing area of the service sector. Gradually, there is a change in perception as the advisor being the privilege of large companies. But advisory services are beginning to be utilized also by SMEs. In accordance with this development, the size of the market advisory services increases, respectively the number of consultants in the field of business management, marketing, finance, etc., and hence the competition in the market of business advisers increases as well. The course is aimed at skilled mastering of counselling process, not only the technical but also in terms of relationship with the client. Due to the fact that the subject is not primarily aimed at acquainting students with basic concepts and relations in various functional areas of economic-organizational consulting (strategic management, human resource management, financial management, etc.), but the actual advisory process, it is assumed that the students have basic knowledge based on the courses Science of firm I, I Marketing, Human resource management, corporate finance, etc. The course is intended for students who wish to offer consultancy services, but also for students who may create demand for advisory services in the future (for example, in the leading position of the firm they will select consultant for cooperation).

- 1. Meeting instruction: Introduction to Economics and organizational consulting, advisory process in general; advisory process - input; advisory process - diagnosis. 2. Meeting instruction: The advisory process - planning events; advisory process - implementation, completion, management and economics of consulting firms; Specific advice in selected segments of business and management. 3. Meeting instruction: Presentation of group work corrected by tutor - the development of case studies in the counselling process areas - advice in general management, consulting in the field of personnel, advice in marketing, consulting in the financial field, consulting in production.

- Teaching methods
- Education proceeds as lectures, that are teoretical preparing of students in the framework of discussed issues (according syllabus). This teoretical preparing is applied in the frameworkm of POTs, where students solve praktical examples (problems) concrete company according to respective problem issue, that students sort out. Students learn to solve choice problem from consultancy practises and they gain practises skills too.
- Assessment methods
- The course is finished by the test. Students can log on to test if they meet the following criteria: 1. Active participation in seminars (tutorials) 2. Development of case studies (work corrected by tutor) in the group and its active presentation at a seminar (tutorial) - the choice of predefined functional areas. Failure to satisfy these criteria means that student can process seminar work on another topic selected by the teacher. The test is carried out in written form - a written test. The test includes a combination of closed questions (20 questions) and open questions (5 questions). Closed questions examine knowledge of theoretical substance. Correct answers can be more or no, ie. variants from 0 to 4 possible correct answers (students may obtain 1 point for completely answered question, in another case, 0 points). For the closed questions the student can obtain a total of 20 points. Open questions are verifying the ability of the student to offer specific solutions to the problem. Each open question is evaluated by a maximum of 3 points maximum or proportion of degrees according the completeness of the answer. For the open questions, it is possible to obtain a maximum of 15 points. Maximum number of points for both types of questions in total is the 35 points. The minimum is 21 points, if coping with 60% correct responses.
