The course is created for students of Master program Corporate economics and Managemetn at Faculty of Economics and Administration and also for students of similar fields who expect to become leaders in organizations during their career.

Course objectives
The subject Law for Managers follows the compulsory and optional subjects taught at the Department of Business Economics and supplements these knowledge subjects. It complements the future graduates' skills of legal awareness, from a systematic, theoretical and application point of view. Experts in practice practice lectures to focus on important and up-to-date topics that are carefully selected to make students understand entrepreneurship, responsibility and leadership also from a legal point of view.

The goal of the course is to build basic theoretical and practical knowledge about business law.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student should be able to:

- Independently use public registers and effectively search for the necessary information.
- Choose the appropriate legal form for intended business.
- To conclude a contract of employment, critically assess the submitted employment contract and know the rights and obligations arising from it.
- Design advertising announcements without legal defects and misleading advertisements, comparative and others.
- Student knows the procedure of contracting and is able to avoid common problems that are related.
- Understands the group's operations and differences from ordinary business. It is able to assess bankruptcy and knows the risks associated with it.
- Manage to orientate in common legal concepts related to business.
- Manage to use the ASPI Information System.
Syllabus
  • The individual topics are divided into blocks, each block consisting of a lecture-based theoretical part (I.) conducted by a practitioner and a part of the practical application (II.) conducted by the lecturer.
    1. block Start of business from the point of view of law
    I. ZOK and Basic Concepts, Trades Licensing, Legal Forms, Liability of Tradesman, Partner and Managers
    II. foundation of trade, founding of llc

    2. block Labor law
    I. Employment contracts and other forms of employment, responsibilities arising from employment relationships, recruitment
    II. Job creation, Job creation, Discrimination in labor law

    3. block Advertising law
    I. Legal limits in the creation of advertising campaigns, misleading advertising, comparative advertising, ethics and responsibility for advertising messages
    II. Assessment of selected advertising messages, creation of advertising messages without legal defects
    4. block Contract law
    I. Course of contract, special contract types, complaints, information security
    II. Model course of contract, proposal of purchase contract without legal defects, model course of complaint proceedings, consumer protection

    5. block Group and Reporting
    I. Corporate Law, Transfer Payments, Obligations in a Group, Reporting, Insolvency, Liability
    II. Reporting on Relations, Preparation of Merger, Insolvency Proceedings, Filing of Insolvency Proceedings

    6. block Current events in a business environment

Teaching methods
Tutorials are scheduled in two four-hour blocks; the content corresponds to the topics as follows: 1. tutorial: Topic 1.- 3. 2. tutorial: Topic 4.- 6.
Assessment methods
Requirements for the successful completion of the course: POT processing on a given topic and his successful evaluation.

Any copying, keeping a record of tests or carrying the tests out, using forbidden aids including any communication devices or any other breach of objectivity of the exam is regarded as a failure to meet the obligations of the subject and as a serious breach of study regulations. As a consequence, the teacher grades the student with "F" and the dean is allowed to initiate a disciplinary action, which might lead to the termination of the studies.
