- Course objectives
- The objective of this subject is to deepen the knowledge and skills in the field of tourism product development. Through the project, students learn to design a tourism product based on current trends and innovations in the tourism sector. Emphasis is placed on integrating the concepts of an experience and shared economy and on the use of information technologies for collecting data about the destination's visitors. Design of tourism product can take both commercial and non-commercial (nonprofit, public) form of the projects.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the principles of an experience and shared economy,
- explain the specifics of tourism product design,
- understand the decision process and the buying behaviour of visitors to the destination,
- use and apply available customer data,
- use selected Desing Service tools in tourism. - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- The subject is taught in the form of thematic blocks. Lectures put emphasis on theoretical explanations of the concept of tourism design and experience economy. For better interconnection of theory and applications being given appropriate case studies. Reading of the obligatory literature is expected.
- Assessment methods
- The evaluation consists of verifying the student's practical skills (based on the presentation of the project - i.e. the ability of argumentation, 60 % of grade), and testing his theoretical knowledge (written test 40 % of grade). Na studenty na Erasmu se nevztahují žádné prezenční povinnosti a ke zkoušce se mohou dostavit přímo po zpracování individuálního úkolu.
