- Course objectives
- Quantum computing in particular and quantum information processing in general are one of the hotest subjects in science in general and in informatics in particular. The goal of this introductory course is to present basic aims, concepts, methods and result in this fascinating area.

- Motivation, history, basic quantum experiments, limitations and paaradoxes
- Hilbert space basics
- Quantum bits,registers
- quantum gates and circuits; quantum computational primitives
- quantum entanglement and non-locality
- simple quantum algorithms, Shor's algorithms, Grover algorithm and its applications
- quantum automata, quantum error-correction methods.
