Course objectives
Taking this lecture, student gets overview in the area of multimedia processing and transfer through computer networks. Basic principles of audio and picture (including video) coding are presented, as well as basic transfer protocols and formats (H.323, SIP, H.261, H.263). Lecture also includes foundations of audio and video acquisition, including synchronization, cut and postproduction.
