Course objectives
Abstract The exposition focuses on specific approaches related to applications of informatics in medicine. The lecture includes examples of medical information systems, comparisons with other information systems and a sample design of a hospital information system.
Syllabus
  • Synopsis Medical informatics. Applications of computers in medicine. & Patient records and their models. & Multimedia systems. & Design of large-scale information systems. & Sample design of a hospital information system. & Comparison with other information systems - analogies and specifics. & Application of CASE tools. & Management methods for large-scale projects.
