- Course objectives
- The study of complex systems is a new interdisciplinary area of research. This research is enabled by information technology, the technology allows us to analyze, model and simulate complex systems. The goals of the seminar are the following: learning basic information about the area of complex systems, training of system thinking and critical thinking and training of communication skills.
- Syllabus
- Overiview of complex systems, tools for the study of complex system, outlook. Specific case studies from different domains: economics, traffic, ecology, environmental studies, sociology, artificial complex systems. Relations among topics, generalizations.
