Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce studets to conceptual approaches in creative process. It will help them to develope their own strategies in the incorporation of intermedia in their own studetn projects, which would be individual or in the group, where studetns will collaborate. Beside the work on the given assignement there will be lectures introducing contemporary art with the emphasis on new media and digital technologies, to help them to understand the current situation.
Syllabus
  • 1. Conceptual work, idea and realization, format of an idea as a sustainable medium and as the starting point 2. Record and its shifts (photography, diary, video) - ongoing project 3. Text, notions, their meaning and their incorporation in the vizual form 4. Automatic techniques, drawings and paintings 5. Graphic techniques on the fringe and public space (comics, grafitti, street art)

Teaching methods
Combination of lectures and work on the projects (individual and collaboration) under the supervision of the teacher, who assignes the themes for the project and point at possible approaches. Teacher works individually with the student and motivates them to work creatively. The use of medias which are already familiar to students from previous courses (photograhy, audivisual techniques, 2D and 3D graphics, drawing.)As a supporting sources of informations - condsultation with the teacher and study material supplied.
