Course objectives
The goal of the course is to develop drawing abilities, to gain the experience with the figure and portraiture drawing with charcoal, graphite or pastels based on the posing model on the larger format. The acquired drawing skills students can utilize in other courses, per example in sketching graphic design concepts, development of 3d character concept, creating the story-board for an animation or film.
Learning outcomes
During the semester students will create the series of figurative drawings, acquire the experience with the anatomy, will gain experience with drawing larger formats. This experience will help students to create more professional conceptual drawing s in other areas - story-board, stop motion animation, conceptual drawing for graphic design etc.

Teaching methods
Students are drawing the human figure based on model by the easel on the format B1 (100x70cm) under the supervision of the teacher.
Assessment methods
Credits are received for the finished assignment. Assignment evaluation by teacher.
