The course Technology of Computer networks requires basic knowledge of physics or electronics (on a high school level). If this course is selected by a student who has already passed the course Principles of Computer Networks then this student can only get credits for its finishing (ie. 2 cr. for exam and 1 cr. for colloquium). - Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
- fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- Applied Informatics (programme FI, B-AP)
- Economic Information Systems (programme ESF, B-SI)
- Informatics with another discipline (programme FI, B-IO)
- Course objectives
- The main goal of the course Technology of Computer Networks is to provide students with information about technology and services that are used in modern computer networks. The students obtain information about particular network architectures, principles of local network administration, TCP/IP protocol, routing of information and about the Internet (including its services).
