- Course objectives
- The aim of lecture is to introduce integrated management systems and their classification. Introduction into history and development of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and program EMAS (Environmental Management and Audit Schemes) of European Union is presented. Base definitions of EMS and EMAS and their terminologie are introduced including environmental performance evaluation.

- Introduction into history and development of Environmental Management Systems (EMS). and program EMAS (Environmental Management and Audit Schemes) of European Union. Base definitions of EMS and EMAS and their terminology.
- Environmental policy, objectives, targets, program, planning, implementation and operation, checking and corrective actions, audit and management review and continual improvement of environmental performance (EP).
- Environmental performance evaluation (EPE) should be part of the regular business functions and activities of the company and management commitment to evaluate EP is essential. EPE and methodology of environmental indicator determination.
- International standards of EMS - norms ISO 14000, Regulation Council EU 761/01 and their application in the Czech republic. Connection between EMS and QMS (Quality Management Systems). Norms ISO 9000.
- Occupational Health and Safety Management (OHSM) and their international standards.
- Methodology of implementation of information system EMS in company using norms ISO 14001, 14004, 14031 and ISO 9000-3.
