Course objectives
At the end of the course students will have a basic knowledge about:
- medicine informations systems
- their construction - using DBS
Explain differences and similarities with other systems.
Underestand something about benefits and problems with use IT in several sectors of medicine
Syllabus
  • Application of Computer Science in the Health Care.
  • General and Specific features of information systems in the Health Care.
  • Classification of Information Systems in the Health Care.
  • Information system used in hospitals.
  • External and Internal Relationship.
  • Methods of data storage, databases, temporally databases and why they are needed.
  • Information systems development, Case tools.
  • Examples of applications development.
  • Different kinds of information and their processing.
  • Methods of information processing and storage of non discret information.
