- Course objectives
- Current trends in the theory and the practice of database systems and database applications. Focused namely to modelling of information and knowledge, and to real commercially reachable solutions with modern approach elements and with theoretical results applications.
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to learn practical solutions in business by authors of those solutions;
to learn new theoretical results by authors of those results. - Syllabus
- A collection of relatively separated lectures. The lectures will be chosen for each run of this course in such a way to cover current trends in theory and practice in data processing.
- The theoretical part will be focused on modern trends in modeling of information and knowledge and modern tools for their retrieval and communication.
- The part devoted to practice will be focused on really disponible business solutions being gifted by elements of modern approach and application of theoretical results.
- The lecturers will be from other universities and from firms that use and develop modern trends.

- The course ends by colloquium. An essay has to be written based on the personal experience and connected to presentations.
