- Course objectives
- The course PV178 Introduction to the Development in C#/.NET builds upon students’ knowledge of the basics of object-oriented programming, and extends it to the level of development of computer programs in C#/.NET. In particular, the course guides the students throughout the whole development process, and leads them to acquire the essential habits in building high-quality C#. The course is accompanied with the employment of existing tools and technologies supporting the taught concepts in the .NET environment.
At the end of this course the student should:
- know the tasks, tools and techniques accompanying the development process of C#/.NET applications
- be familiar with VS2012 environment and have the essential habits in writing high-quality C# code;
- be able to write parallel and concurrent programs - Syllabus
- C# programming language.

- Systematic testing – Unit tests, Test Driven Development.
- Error handling – logging (to a file/event log).
- Code quality - principles, metrics, refactoring (from patterns).
- Design Patterns in C#.
