- Course objectives
- The goal of this subject is to provide students with overview of computer graphics interfaces. Students also gain a practical knowledge of standard OpenGL Application Programming Interface. When completing this course, students will be able to implement a broad spectrum of computer graphics applications.
- Syllabus
- Aplication interfaces for Computer Graphics.
- Principles of drawing and rendering with powerfull graphics accelerators.
- Rendering pipeline.
- Structure and functions of graphics API.
- Data types and graphic primitives.
- Coordinate systems, transformations.
- Lightning.
- Antialiasing, texture mapping, alpha blending.
- Evaluators for Bezier curves and surfaces.
- Additional layers and extensions for 3D objects and for the GUI development.
- OpenGL Shading Language
- API examples, OpenGL and extensions, libraries GLU and GLUT.
