- Course objectives
- The goal of the course is about to preset the students different methods to analyse, provide and manage the services. Students can participate on presentations held by foreign collaborator of the laboratory, meet the real problems and help with their solution. The content of the course is improved continuously.

- 1. Debora Sarno, University of Salerno: Operations management and organization
Operations Management deals with the design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver a firm’s primary products and services. This course aims to introduce students to the field of operations management, one of the pillar disciplines of Service Science, using a systems approach. Focusing on the production planning process, which is the basis of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, each phase of the “push” process is described, and real cases are collectively discussed. The “pull” approach of the Toyota Production Systems is also analysed. Moreover, new trends in production and service management are explored, with a focus on the new Industrial Revolution called Industry 4.0 and the role of IT and ICT.
