Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the problems of sports diagnostics. A partial goal is to teach students to implement performance tests in practice.
Learning outcomes
Students know and understand physiological tests of human response and adaptation to physical stress Students can apply theoretical knowledge of testing to sports practice Students will be able to plan, perform and evaluate performance tests using modern instrumentation.
Syllabus
  • 1. Performance test objectives. Types of loads in the laboratory and terrain 2. Health contraindications to testing.
  • 3. Load intensity indicators - objective, subjective. Monitored functional parameters of human response to load, their interpretation and evaluation.
  • 4. Performance tests in basic movements.
  • 5. Specifics of children and elderly testingin .
  • 6. Health contraindications to performance tests.
