Course objectives
The aim is to acquire competencies in working with people with disabilities. Emphasis is placed on the issue of ethopedy and communication with people with special needs. Students cooperate with colleagues from the study program Secondary School Teacher Training in Physical Education.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - to be oriented on the issues of individual types of disabilities. - to describe what learning opportunities people with specific needs have. - to design opportunities for movement and sports activities for people with different types of disabilities. - to Apply the basics and principles of communication with people with special needs. - to be oriented in the system of education of pupils with behavioral and emotional disorders - cooperate on the creation of educational materials on the issue of communication with persons with special needs
Syllabus
  • Basic therms - special pedagogy (therm, subject, objectives, interdisciplinary relations, classification, terminology), Legislation and integration, inclusion, therapy, physical activity of people with special needs. Diagnostics and pedagogical-psychological counseling system. Physical disability- characteristics, communication of people with physical disabilities, appropriate exercises and physical activities, possibilities of self-realization in the field of sport (sitting volleyball, basketball on the wheelchair, handbikes) Mental disability - characteristics, appropriate exercises and movement games, mental handicapped, communication of people with mental disabilities. Autism - characteristics, possibilities of education. Visual impairment - characteristics, space orientation exercises, appropriate exercises and movement games, appropriate sports (Showdown, Goalball, sound shooting), communication of visually impaired people. Hearing impairment - characteristics, appropriate exercises, movement games and sports, communication of hearing impaired persons. ADHD, ADD - didactic principles during exercise, appropriate exercises. Etopedy - contemporary conception of emotional and behavioral disorders, segregation tendencies, today's terminology, constitutional and protective education Therapy in special pedagogical care - canistherapy, hippotherapy.

Teaching methods
Project learning - students in cooperation with students from the TV Teaching study program, subject Integrative special education, nk 4133, will create interactive materials for learning. Lecture, practical seminar. The lectures will include lectures by external practitioners. Self-study tasks: study of recommended literature Task control: in the credit week
Assessment methods
Credit requirements active participation in seminars, preparation of seminar work on the topic, creation of methodical materials and their presentation in lessons about communication and specific approaches of people with special needs oral exam.
