- Course objectives
- After the course, students will be able to: * describe the various philosophical bases of development of physical culture,identify the basic evolutional periods * explain the philosophical theories that affect the development of physical culture, to interpret the views of key personalities * apply the theoretical knowledge into practical action * summarize the entire sum of knowledge and compare them with the reality * argue the aims of individual activities realized in the scope of physical culture

- Mutual reflections physical culture – society, development and changes of functions of physical culture; anthropological starting points of physical culture; essence of the human being; movement, human movement; philosophy of the body and its consequences in physical culture; individual and social body; bodily scheme, bodily selfconception; criticism of various conceptions of play; win and loose versus victory and defeat; value aspects of physical culture; development of olympism and its contemporary problems; philosophy of Sokol movement
