The course is geared for optional PE and for those who have got 2 credits from PE and have finished 1 term of tennis before or can play basic strokes.

Course objectives
The main goals of the educational process involve: - the improvement of the locomotive abilities and fitness - the impact on the positive approach towards sports activities considered as the protection against conflicts, civilization diseases and stress - the support of students healthy lifestyle The course focuses on the practice of all kinds of strokes as well as on the introduction of the rules, tennis tactics and competitions.
Syllabus
  • The course runs on the outdoor tennis courts, Heinrichova 24 in Masarykova čtvřť for the first 3 - 4 weeks of the term. Later it takes place in the Tennis Hall, Mánesova 12c in Královo Pole. 8 students can participate in one seminar group.One lesson takes 60 minutes. Students are divided into 3 groups according to the level of their skills: beginners, intermediate, advanced.It is important to accept these group divisions when students register. The basic tennis tactics, rules and competitions are intoduced in the course.

Tutorial assessed with a credit The credit is given to students for the attendance of a certain quality: more than 50% of the direct attendance is required - 1 possible absence without apology - 2 more possible absences with the list of apology - 3 more lessons can be compensated during the examination time
