- Course objectives
- The main goal of this subject is to provide practical skills in mechanotherapy especially focused on practice in classical massage. First it´s important arts superficial and deep palpation. On the other hand it´s important a practical differentiation of each soft tissue level and its examination.
This practical course goes hand in hand with theoretical course Physical therapy I. - Syllabus
- Work ergonomics. Basic groups of touches.
- Massage of lower limbs - posterior part (positioning, individual touches, passive stretching).
- Massage of lower limbs - anterior part (positioning, individual touches, passive stretching).
- Back massage including scapula area (positioning, individual touches, passive stretching).
- Neck massage including scapula area and shoulder girdle massage(positioning, individual touches, passive stretching).
- Head massage. Chest massage. Positioning, individual touches, passive stretching.
- Massage of upper limbs. Abdominal massage. Positioning, individual touches, passive stretching.
- Full body massage.
- Preparatory sports massage and therapeutic massage after sport - specifics of individual one.
- Stand massage. Massage between performances. Use in practice.
- Regenerative massage.
- Samples of other massage types and some techniques (hot stones, shietsu etc.).
