Course objectives
The course aims to deepen and broaden the theoretical and practical knowledge about the European Union in relation to the sport after completing the course the student should be able to: - Understand the basic principles underpinning the European Union - Familiar with the historical context of European integration - Generally have an awareness of EU institutions, the political decision making, - Orientation in the EU legal standards in relation to their legal force in relation regulím to sports associations - Know some important precedents of the European Court of Justice in relation to sport - To explain the basic principles of the European Charter for Sport - Explain the general motives and reasons of strategic EU documents in connection therewith, know the White Paper on Sport - To focus on ways to promote the sport in various EU member states - Generally well informed about the issue of EU Structural Funds
