- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit the aim of the course is to teach students to apply knowledge from functional anatomy and individual sports to perform kinesiological analysis of selected sports movements.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- perform a kinesiological analysis of the sport movement
- identify the most stressed segments, respectively muscle groups that engage with the selected motion
- propose a compensatory exercise on the basis of the analysis - Syllabus
- 01. Introduction to Kinesiology, Orientation on the Human Body, Locomotion, Segmental Movements
- 02. Neuromuscular system (muscle contraction, motion system management)
- 03. Analysis of motion in joints (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, rotation, muscle function (agonist, antagonist, synergist, neutralizing and stabilizing muscles
- 04. Analysis of movement of the spine, pelvis and blades
- 05. Analysis of upper limb movements
- 06. Lower limb analysis
- 07. Applications of kinesiology: posture, standing, sitting
- 08. Kinesiology applications: weight training (sit-up, push-up, pull-up)
- 09. Application of kinesiology of locomotive movements: walking, running, jumping
- 10. Applications of kinesiology: cycling, swimming
- 11. Applications of kinesiology: litters, drawing, pushing
- 12. Applications of kinesiology: throws, kicks, strokes
- 13. Application of kinesiology: gymnastic exercises

- Teaching is in the form of a seminar. Students are actively involved, filling in the worksheets. Presentation, discussion, independent work.
- Assessment methods
- An evening written test usually consists of 12-15 closed and open questions. The test must be written in min. to 80 %.
