Course objectives
The aim of the course is to equip students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for safe movement in climbing terrain. The aim is to acquaint students with the basics of the climbing technique and to learn how to safely manipulate the climbing material.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to:
- control climbing terminology
- work correctly with the belaying equipement and use proper belaying technique
- apply the theoretical principles of climbing
- move safely in climbing terrain
Syllabus
  • Safeness, basic terminology, manipulation, climbing styles, equipment for sport climbing
  • Rope manipulation, basic knotts, protection gears
  • Technics of moving, balance
  • Leading, protection, rope manupulation on anchor, descending
