- Course objectives
- Acquisition of professional terminology of pedagogy and sport pedagogy; understanding of the humanistic concept of contemporary sport pedagogy; analysis of sport education. Development of basic pedagogical categories, concepts and theories with emphasis on the formation of the foundations of pedagogical competences.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - identify basic pedagogical categories and concepts - orient themselves in the basic forms of pedagogical research - describe the basic elements of the educational process - orient themselves in the field of motor learning - analyse a selected area of education - explain the functions of education in the field of sport and physical activity - actively use pedagogical communication and feedback

- 1. Pedagogy of sport as a discipline (aim, means, philosophy, history, research in pedagogy) 2. Sport (characteristics, types and approach) 3. Coach (profession, role and personality of the coach, coach-athlete communication, principles of tactful behaviour, diagnostic activity of the coach) 4. The athlete (career of the athlete, ending a sporting career, education of the athlete) 5. Training of children (age regularities, individual peculiarities) 6. Theory of motor learning 7. Didactic principles (forms of learning, feedback, self-reflection) 8. Philosophy of the coaching profession (Positive Coaching Alliance, Fair Play Coaching as a helping profession)
