Course objectives
The main goals of the educational process involve: - the course focuses on mastering basic practical climbing skills on the artificial climbing wall the improvement of the locomotive abilities and fitness - the impact on the positive approach towards sports activities - the support of students healthy lifestyle - the theoretical knowledge of sports climbing is also acquired
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students will be able to: identify individual components of basic climbing equipment provide a general overview of climbing and sport climbing work individually with climbing equipment (tying knots, using belay devices) climb routes of around UIAA Grade IV to VI. level of difficulty, according to students’ entry competencies obey safety rules in sport climbing
Syllabus
  • The aims of the course are to introduce the climbing enviroment, basic climbing terms and orders, how to use the climbing material, to develope trust, self-confidence, self-assuredness. The basic climbing techniques as well as practical skills and theoretical knowledge of bouldering are introduced.

Assessment methods
Exercise, credit - the credit is given to students for the attendance. 3 classes can be misses and there is no need of any apology. The substitution of more absences is not allowed.

General note: Kurz je vypisován pro nevidomé a neslyšící studenty. V případě neslyšících je vyučovacím jazykem český znakový jazyk.
Information on course enrolment limitations: Předmět určen primárně studentům se zrakovým a sluchovým postižením. Počet studentů je závislý na typu handicapu a je omezen počtem cvičících. Možno domluvit více skupin.
