Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the theoretical and practical knowledge in the area of ​​wellness and fitness. The classes will be focused mainly on group exercises under the guidance of an instructor, for various types of aerobic activities, forms of Body and Mind, strengthening exercises (without the use of tools and using tools) and stretching exercises.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course the student is able:
- to orientate in discussed topic
- to define individual forms of exercises
- to recommend suitable exercises to different age categories, people with a certain type of health restriction ...
- to design a list of stretching and strengthening exercises with aids or without aids
- to know the correct execution of the individual exercises, to correct the errors on the group of trainees
- to design a class focused on different aims
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction into wellness and fitness.
  • 2. History and characteristics of different kinds of aerobics excercises.
  • 3. Practical lesson of aerobics - structure of lesson, music, correct technics.
  • 4. Practical lesson of step aerobics - structure of lesson, music, correct technics.
  • 5. Body and Mind forms - characteristics of different kinds (Pilates, Power yoga, Body balance, Port de Bras....)
  • 6. Practical lesson of Core training.
  • 7. Practical lesson of Pilates.
  • 8. Floorwork - workouts only with body weight.
  • 9. Floorwork - workouts with different kind of equipements (Bossu, fitbally, overballs, dynabends, flowtonic).
  • 10. Stretching - charakteristic and different kinds of stretching excercises.
  • 11. Martial arts in aerobics excercises.
