Course objectives
The Recreology Department of the Restigouche Health Authority has various intervention fields: mental health, geriatrics, adult physical health (rehabilitation and palliative care). This very active department has developed over the years a whole range of activities from bike rides to boat trips and visits to museums and tourist attractions in the summer period. In the winter, sleigh rides, ice fishing and snowshoeing are very popular. Overall, about thirty activities are offered by the department. There are also several therapeutic programs within the department such as: community resources, leisure skills, stimulation, socialization, leisure participation.
