Course objectives
After graduation from „Canoeing“ is student able to:
-basicly handle kayak and canoe on slightly flowing water
-aplicate obtained teoretical knowledge of safty mastering kayak and canoe
-differentiate mode of stright and reverse stroke on a kayak and canoe
-aplicate right way arms and equipment made for kayaking and canoing
-demonstrate basicly kayak paddle technique on slightly flowing water
-demonstrate basicly canoe paddle technique on slightly flowing water
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to studies (credit requirements, literature)
  • 2. Theory of mastering technique on canoe on flat and slightly flowing water
  • 3. Practical training of skills on flat water - technique of straight, reverse and draw stroke on canoe
  • 4. Practical training of skills on slightly flowing water - technique of straight, reverse and draw stroke on canoe
  • 5. Theory of mastering technique on kayak on flat and slightly flowing water
  • 6. Practical training of skills on flat water - technique of straight, reverse and draw stroke on kayak
  • 7. Practical training of skills on slightly flowing water - technique of straight, reverse and draw stroke on kayak

Credict is given to student on a platform of passing out training and practical test.
Practical test:
-perform basic manoeuvre strokes on a canoe
-perform basic manoeuvre strokes on a kayak

Information on completion of the course: zapsat smíte jen 1 sport.+ kurz, nelze vyhovět žádosti o výjimku při překročené kapacitě.
The course can also be completed outside the examination period.
The course is taught each semester.
General note: 1. Vodácký výcvik na klidné vodě na loděnici MU.2. Jedno a vícedenní zájezdy na vodu s větší obtížností.3. Týdenní vodácký kurz o prázdninách.4. Údržba vodáckého inventáře.5. Za nepříznivého počasí kondiční program v posilovně.
