- Course objectives
- After the successful completion of the subject Geography the student will be able:
- to interpret the basic theoretical knowledge about particular world´s tourism regions
- to use the basic methods of researching data about destinations in the Czech republic on the Internet and in the available literature
- to work individually with maps and promoting brochures during the personal preparation for guiding in selected world´s resorts - Syllabus
- 1. Southern Europe. The natural conditions, the quality of the environment, historical context and all the most significant cultural and historical sights of the countries in Southern Europe: Greece, Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal.
- 2. Northern Europe. The natural conditions, the quality of the environment, historical context and all the most significant cultural and historical sights of the countries in Northern Europe: Sweden, Norway, Finland and Danmark.
- 3. Western Europe. The natural conditions, the quality of the environment, historical context and all the most significant cultural and historical sights of the countries in Western Europe: France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, , Germany, Great Britain and Ireland.
- 4. Central Europe. The natural conditions, the quality of the environment, historical context and all the most significant cultural and historical sights of the countries in Central Europe: Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Austria, Switzerland.
- 5. South-eastern Europe. The natural conditions, the quality of the environment, historical context and all the most significant cultural and historical sights of the countries in South-eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Albania, former states if Yugoslavia, Cyprus.
- 6. North America. The natural conditions, the quality of the environment, historical context and all the most significant cultural and historical sights of the countries in North America: Canada, the USA.
- 7. Latin America. The natural conditions, the quality of the environment, historical context and all the most significant cultural and historical sights of the countries in the region.
