- Course objectives
- After completing this course, the student will be more oriented in the area of disability and social and vocational rehabilitation of people with severe mental illness. Over the course student will acquire essential information for understanding the social situation of a person with severe mental illness. Student will be more oriented in the social welfare system and will be able to provide basic guidance in this area. Student will gain an overview of the basic procedures within ergodiagnostics and vocational rehabilitation.
- Syllabus
- Organization of comprehensive rehabilitation and its implementation. Social rehabilitation - goals and means. Basic social legislation. State social care organizations. Vocational rehabilitation - goals and means. The issue of preparation for vocational rehabilitation. Ergodiagnostic´s examination. Assessment of medical fitness. Inclusion of persons with disabilities in the health workforce. Retraining. Optimization of working conditions for the disabled. Analysis of workplaces and work activities. Assessment aspects of musculoskeletal disorders. The current international classification of disability. The issue of retirement solutions.
