Prerequisites
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is supposed.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The students will have basic knowledge of general sport traumatology, first aid and special tennis traumatology;
The students will be able to apple the knowledge at their tennis training practice for prevention and solution of health problems.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to traumatology - incidence and kinds of injuries, causes and prevention of injuries, principles of first aid, first-aid kit box, therpgraphy at diagnostics;
  • Special tennis traumatology - ankle and knee sprain; tendon and muscular distensions and ruptures - m.gastrocnemius, soleus, rectus abdominis, Achilles tendon; Baker´s cyst, injuries of groin, back, abdomen muscules; meniscopathy; relevant first aid and prevention;
  • Injuries of locomotive apparatus by overuse at tennis - introduction and special part (hand, wrist , elbow, shoulder, ...); relevant first aid and preventive exercises (resistance, stretching, stabilization);
  • Oxidative stress - causes, consequences, prevention;
  • Rhabdomyolysis - causes, symptoms, consequences, prevention.
