Course objectives
The subject is related to Basics of Philosophy and points to the present problems of global society as they are reflected in political, social and environmental philosophy (S. Žižek, T. Pogg, J. Šmajs, K. Liessmann etc.) or in sociology (U. Beck, Z. Baumann etc.).
Learning outcomes
Student should:
- adopt awareness about many serious problems of global civilization
- be able to explain some of they causes
- to get to know connections of these causes and development of European thinking
- to get ecquainted with analysis of some influential thinkers
- to explain some basic ideas for dealing with these problems (global governance, basic income, local currency, "biophilous culture", cybersocialism etc.)
