Course objectives
The goal of the course is to enrich the offer of sports courses at CUS FSpS MU and thanks to the combination of the Pilates exercise and Fascia Oriented Exercise to include the latest trends. The basics of Rollpilates is Pilates itself. It is an exercise programme which includes body building and stretching, which improves posture, back pain and teaches correct forms of breathing. It is a slow, but very intensive training. Pilates uses in its classes different types of sports aids, and the foam roller belongs to them too. Rollpilates uses the roller as a balancing element, which can either make the performance easier or more difficult. It helps to involve the workout of the core and the other muscles, the coordination and performance technique more effectively. The roller is also used for the fascia oriented training, which is in the field of sport and fitness quite new. The aim of this training is NOT to replace any other form of classical training, such as cardiovascular or functional. The fascia oriented training can just enrich and enhance all kinds of sport and exercise and it is gradually getting the importance, which deserves.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to perform Pilates exercise, to breathe correctly and to keep healthy posture. They will learn to involve the fascial network into their movement.
