- Course objectives
- Teaching consists of lectures and allow students to learn about the technical methods assistance in injury. Students are acquainted with the history of tooth, a gradual improvement prostheses based on new materials and new knowledge to the latest trends. Also ortézám and epitézám attention is paid in terms of both functional and innovative cosmetics.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be after the course:
- well informed in the field of prosthetics and orthotics;
- have knowledge of prosthesis construction using the latest;
knowledge in technology and medicine; - to propose an appropriate indication of a device in a specific pathology;
- evaluate the effect of the compensatory aid. - Syllabus
- 01. Definition of orthopedic prosthetics, history, investigation, construction of dentures upper and lower extremities.
- 02. Brace the upper and lower extremities.
- 03. Frame brace.
- 04. Epitetika, ostomy devices and trusses, elastic devices.
- 05. Adjuvatika, taping.
- 06. Caceotika (orthopedic shoes, insoles).
- 07. Special orthotics in childhood and the elderly.
- 08. Compensation aids for the handicapped.
- 09. Relationship of physiotherapy and orthotics.
