The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
Course objectives
Students practice training units on different topics and in different age categories. The aim is to improve teaching/coaching and the use of various forms of the training process and to improve the use of different methodological and organizational methods during the training process. Students also learn how to care about the players' health via compensation exercises.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student is able to: - plan and deliver a written layout of the training unit in youth categories, - to conduct the training unit in a youth category, - plan and deliver a written layout for a weekly/seasonal training cycle in youth categories.
Syllabus
  • Theory: Pedagogical forms of a training process. Methodological and organizational forms of a training process. Game systems and basic team formations. Football rules and their latest modifications. Team management, team building and basic concepts. Compensation exercises and their use in the training process. Game strategy and preparation. Practice: Examples of methodological and organizational forms in a training process. Examples of training units in various youth categories. Example sessions lead by students. Compensation exercises in the training process in football.

Teaching methods
The course includes theoretical seminars and lectures, practical exercises, and self-study (videos focused on game concepts of respective age categories and compensatory exercises).
Assessment methods
Requirements for successful subject accomplishment: 100% active participation. Training unit delivery on a given topic. Preparation and submission of an essay on an assigned topic. Student hands in his/her coaching record = coaching diary. The student does an internship in a club of his/her choice to get an overall view of the training process.
