Course objectives
The aim of the course is to follow up the b4615a Specialization Coaching 1 - Basketball and to strengthen the right principles in leading of the training process in the practice of individual defensive skills using various methodical and organizational forms.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing the course student will:
- teach the players (8-12 years) the basics of individual defensive skills in basketball according to methodical principles,
- characterize individual game performance in basketball,
- develop players' speed abilities in line with ontogenetic specifications,
- develop player's strengths abilities in line with ontogenetic specifications,
- create an annual training plan in basketball,
- record and control the training process in basketball,
- use a compensatory exercise in the training process,
- choose appropriate methods of player regeneration after training and basketball game.
Syllabus
  • Students will conduct methodical demonstrations on the given topic (individual defensive skills) in the semester after the information meeting (they will be assigned methodical demonstrations from basketball, requirements on the demonstrations, credit requirements to successfully complete the subject).
  • Students' methodical demonstrations are extended by coaching stay (like observers) from U13 to U15 categories.

  • - strength abilities in basketball,
  • - annual training plan,
  • - recording and control of the training process,
  • - compensatory exercise and regeneration in basketball.
